Vocal Jazz is designed for the vocal student interested in investigating the jazz genre. Recording and microphone technique are two important aspects of the curriculum. Students are “on-mic” weekly and record regularly, both for rehearsal evaluation and our ongoing recording projects. SCN is grateful for the addition of Mike Molloy to the faculty. Mr. Molloy comes to us from Roosevelt University, and previous to that taught at Southwest Community College and in the public school system in Canada. He has expertise in both instrumental and choral music and will be responsible for the vocal jazz program.
