Required Department-Wide Music Parent Meeting, 9/9

Hello SCN Music Parents,

As we head into the 11th year of our Music Program at SCN, we want to take time to share the program's accomplishments and explain the opportunities that are available to you to be a part of your student's music experience.   On Thursday, September 9, 2010, there is a required meeting for all Music Parents to be held at 6pm in the school auditorium.  This essential meeting will give us the opportunity to clarify how our SCN Music Program relies on the support of the
Friends of Music, our Music Booster Club. 

We are asking that each student in our Music Program (Band, Choir, Jazz, and Orchestra) have at least one parent present at this meeting. 

SCN Music Spirit Wear will be available for purchase throughout the evening so remember to bring your checkbooks!

After the meeting, we invite ALL Music Parents/Families (Band, Choir, Jazz and Orchestra) to attend the 2nd Annual Friends of Music Parent Event (BBQ) at SCN's outdoor concession stand (near the football field).  Please join us for a cook-out provided by the Friends of Music.  We will be serving hot dogs, hamburgers, refreshments and dessert.    Following dinner, our marching band and color guard
will be practicing their half time performance on the football field.   Stick around for a behind the scenes glimpse of how the half time show is assembled!  This is a great opportunity for you to socialize and meet other music program parents and find out how you can get involved with Friends of Music, your booster club.  ALL MUSIC parents and families are invited to stick
around!!!

If there is rain, we will reschedule the BBQ portion of the event only.  Watch your email/website that day if weather is questionable.
