Friends of Music provides the hospitality and planning for many special events through the year.

These events include:

Freshman Parent Welcome Meeting

Please join the Directors and Friends of Music at the Freshman Parent Welcome Meeting on Thursday, August 25th at 6:00pm in the school auditorium.  This essential meeting will give us the opportunity of share our program's many accomplishments and explain the opportunities that are available to you to be a part of your student's music experience.  The SCN Music Program relies on the support of the Friends of Music, our Music Booster Club, and your active participation are essential to the success and progress of the department.  We are asking that each student in Choir, Jazz, Orchestra and Band have at least one parent present at this meeting.

Immediately following this meeting there will be the 3rd Annual Music Parent/Family BBQ.

3rd Annual Music Parent/Family BBQ

All Music Families (Choir, Jazz, Orchestra and Band) are invited to the 3rd Annual Friends of Music BBQ.  Join us at 7:00pm on Thursday, August 25 at the SCN outdoor concession stand (near the football field) where we will be serving hot dogs, hamburgers, other refreshments and dessert.  Following dinner, our marching band, drumline and color guard will be practicing their half time performance on the football field.  This year's theme is the all time favorite "Michael Jackson Review".  Stick around for a behind-the-scenes glimpse of how the half time show is assembled!

This is a great opportunity for you to socialize and meet other music program parents and find out how you can get involved with Friends of Music.  SCN Music Spirit Wear will be available for purchase throughout the evening.  Don't miss the best selection of items this year.
